These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your installation and use of the Google Goto URL Fix browser extension (the "Extension"), operated by Alex Brufsky ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
1. What the Extension does
The Extension modifies affected links displayed on Google Search result pages so they resolve to usable destination links. It operates locally in your browser and is provided as a convenience.
2. License to use the Extension
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for lawful personal or business purposes.
If the Extension's source code is distributed under a separate open-source license, that license governs your copying, modification, and distribution of the source code. These Terms govern your use of the Extension as a product.
3. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Extension in violation of applicable law
- Use it to interfere with, disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to any service, system, or network
- Misrepresent your association with the Extension or its operator
- Circumvent security measures or use the Extension for malicious activity
4. Third-party services
The Extension interacts with pages and links provided by Google and may direct you to third-party websites. We do not operate or control Google Search or destination websites and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices, or terms.
Google Goto URL Fix is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Google LLC. Google, Google Chrome, and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.
5. Changes, updates, and availability
Google or other third parties may change their websites or link formats at any time, which may cause the Extension to stop working or behave differently. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time. We are not obligated to provide maintenance, support, updates, or continued availability.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Extension is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted operation.
We do not guarantee that every link will be resolved correctly, that the Extension will always be compatible with Google Search or supported browsers, or that it will be free from errors or security vulnerabilities. You use the Extension at your own risk.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or opportunity arising from or related to the Extension.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Extension will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Extension during the 12 months before the claim or US $10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by disabling or uninstalling it. Your right to use the Extension ends automatically if you materially violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including disclaimers, liability limitations, and governing-law provisions.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Extension, our practices, or applicable requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Extension after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Extension will be brought in a state or federal court located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
11. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law. These Terms and any applicable open-source license form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the subject matter they cover.
